Developed in accordance with United Nations Standard Operating Procedures for humanitarian de-mining, our Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is tailored to the needs of the de-miner.
Helmet
The lightweight de-miners helmet shell is originally a helmet used by the UK RAF, it is a "bump" helmet designed to protect the wearer when working in confines of aircraft, it has no ballistic protection properties. It serves as a lightweight yet durable mount for the visor.
Visor
The visor is 6mm polycarbonate giving a V50 level of 290 m/s the visor is fitted to the helmets of Royal Engineers when conducting EOD/Demining operations. To meet IMAS requirements the visor extends to cover the throat and face of the wearer and also extends to the top of the helmet (this is why the helmet does not require ballistic properties). Adhesive anti-scratch film can be supplied to protect the visor from scratches and scrapes.
The whole system is modular which means components can be replaced instead of replacing the whole product, this not only increases life cycle of the product it also makes it cheaper for the user.
