Westminster, through their strategic partner ISSEE, can support students in their career development by offering a suite of EOD training courses.
The International School for Security and Explosives Education (ISSEE) offers students from military, police and civil agencies the opportunity to study for qualifications in Explosive Ordnance Disposal.
Until the formation of ISSEE, this subject matter was only available through military training schools and even then, without academic qualification.
Our students go on to perform a variety of different roles from Humanitarian Demining through to Counter-Terrorist Bomb Disposal Officers and from Environmental Services teams through to Explosives Magazine Personnel and government scientists.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) courses available are:
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 1 is a 15 day course to provide personnel with the knowledge required to enable them to carry out basic EOD procedures and clearance operations, under supervision, in accordance with International Standards.
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 2 is a 15 day course, building on the existing knowledge of level 1, to provide personnel with the knowledge required to enable them to carry out EOD procedures and operations in accordance with International Standards.
- Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 3 is a 15 day course, building on the courses of levels 1 and 2, to provide personnel with the knowledge required to enable them to supervise an EOD clearance operation.
