The insulation resistance of the coaxial cable falls when it is subjected to an increase in temperature and provides repeatable values at all levels up to the destruction temperature of the cable.

SKM Heat Sensing Cable System The SKM Heat Sensing Cable System provides early warning of an impending fire by detecting overheating in cable ducts, road tunnels, escalators, lift shafts, conveyer belts and similar difficult to monitor environments.

The System works with Conventional fire systems using SKM-03 & SKM-03UK Controllers, and Analogue Addressable Apollo XP95 Systems using the SKM-95 Controller. The SKM Heat Sensing Cable System is EN54 approved.
