  • A choice of output power up to 120W;
  • Single and dual-zone mixer amplifiers;
  • Four balanced inputs;
  • Includes priority input with chime;
  • Separate emergency input.

PLENA MIXER AMPLIFIERSPLENA mono mixer amplifiers have four microphone inputs, and separate emergency and music inputs.

Additional functionality like priority assignment, VOX switching, speech filters and two-tone chimes are also provided. You can add PLENA booster amplifiers to increase the loudspeaker driving capability.

The dual-zone model directs sound (announcements or background music) to two separate areas - very useful if announcements or background music need not be heard everywhere. Two front panel switches direct the output to the separate zones.

PLENA ALL-IN-ONE BGM/PAGING SYSTEM

Background Music/Paging SystemOffering professional quality at an affordable price, the PLENA All-in-One is an ideal public address solution for small to medium-sized businesses like retail shops, supermarkets, restaurants, schools and leisure facilities.

With a high-performance 120 W mixer amplifier, a multi-format CD player and a digital FM/AM tuner in one box, it can be used for announcements, paging and background music.

Features

  • 'One-box' with background music, announcement and paging;
  • Dual-zone 120 W mixer amplifier;
  • Priority and VOX microphone;
  • CD player (audio and MP3);
  • Digital FM/AM tuner with 15 presets.

The mixer amplifier has three balanced microphone inputs and two individually selectable loudspeaker zones, each with its own volume control.

A third loudspeaker zone can be connected that only receives priority announcements. The main microphone input features priority contacts and a VOX switching function for overriding the remaining two inputs and the music.

Announcements can also be preceded by a two-tone chime.

The CD player plays both normal audio CDs and CD-R's with MP3-encoded music. With MP3 recorded CDs, up to 999 tracks can be programmed to play. The music can also be arranged in folders and played per folder. This allows the music choice to be adjusted for a specific occasion or time of day, e.g. easy listening in the morning and pop at lunch. The digital FM/AM tuner has 15 presets to store radio stations.

PLENA UNIVERSAL PRE-AMPLIFIER

PLENA pre-amplifierThe universal pre-amplifier extends the configuration possibilities of the PLENA family. It offers a choice of mixing, blocking or serial input priority modes. Each input channel has its own volume and tone controls, a selectable filter to optimize speech intelligibility, and direct outputs.

Features

  • Fully-featured, four-input mixer;
  • Three different input priority modes;
  • Individual audio settings for each input;
  • Interconnection for external equipment;
  • Ideal in combination with booster amplifiers.

On the output, it's also possible to override local loudspeaker volume controls to ensure an important message gets through.

Three input priority modes are available: mixing mode; blocking mode (first activated channel gets priority over all others); and serial mode (channel 1 has priority over 2, 3 and 4, channel 2 has priority over 3 and 4, and channel 3 has priority over 4). In mixing mode, each input channel can be mixed to the master output, irrespective of priority.

PLENA SYSTEM PRE-AMPLIFIER

PLENA SYSTEM PRE-AMPLIFIERThe PLENA multi-zone call system provides dual-channel operation (calls and background music) for six zones. The unit is used with one or two PLENA booster amplifiers.

Features

  • The heart of a six-zone call system;
  • Two inputs for dedicated call stations;
  • Separate music and call channels with dedicated tone controls;
  • Emergency input with VOX switching;
  • Selectable alarm tone, time signal and chimes.

It has two call station inputs, a selectable filter for optimising speech intelligibility, and separate volume control and tone controls for the speech and background music channels. Six levels of priority are available for music, microphone, call stations, trigger inputs and the emergency input.

Six buttons on the front panel are used to route the background music to the selected zones. Zone selection for the call channel is made via the PLENA call station. The unit has an emergency/telephone input with VOX.

When an emergency audio signal is detected, it automatically overrules all other inputs. Each zone has an additional output to override local loudspeaker volume controls for priority announcements.

PLENA BOOSTER AMPLIFIERS

PLENA Booster AmplifiersThe compact yet powerful mono booster amplifiers can be added to drive as many loudspeakers as your application requires.

They are used with the universal and system pre-amplifiers, and to supplement the built-in power stage in the PLENA mixer amplifiers.

Features

  • Increase the power potential of PLENA installations;
  • Up to 240W in a low-profile unit;
  • Drive 70V/100V and low-impedance outputs;
  • Temperature-controlled fan for extra reliability.

Available with 120 or 240W output power, they drive both 70V/100V constant voltage and low-impedance loudspeaker loads.

A temperature-controlled fan ensures high reliability when driven at high power. A balanced loop-through connector simplifies connecting multiple booster amplifiers together for increased output power.

A 100V line input is provided to connect the booster amplifier to a 100V loudspeaker line - useful for systems in remote locations.

PLENA CALL STATIONS

PLENA Call StationsPLENA call stations have a stable metal base with a flexible-stem condenser microphone. The special design of the metal base also allows for flush mounting in desk-tops.

There's an all-call model, and a six-zone version (making calls to selected zones) for call routing - both for public address based on the PLENA system pre-amplifier.

  • All-call and six-zone call stations for system pre-amplifier;
  • With a uni-directional condenser microphone on a flexible stem;
  • Selectable gain, speech filter and limiter;
  • Matching table-top condenser microphone.

Selected zones are indicated with LEDs on the call station, and two additional LED's give visible feedback on the active state of the microphone and the system.

The call stations have selectable gain, and a speech filter and limiter for improved intelligibility. Switches in the call station allow various pre- and post-call chimes to be selected. A matching table-top microphone is available for use with PLENA mixer amplifiers and pre-amplifiers.

THE BENEFIT OF PLUG-AND-PLAY

Plug-and-play is more than just an approach to product and system design. It is an installation and operation philosophy that benefits the installer and the end-user.

The new PLENA family embraces it from all sides. For installers, it saves time - and therefore money - by streamlining installation - just one cable linking units to each other is all that is required for most configurations.

If you need more than basic functionality, a few settings make advanced features possible to meet any application requirements. Plug-and-play also facilitates modifications, and allows integration with existing equipment or units from other manufacturers.

And for the end-user, it encourages correct use whatever the level of operator competence. Yet all this is achieved without limiting the system possibilities of PLENA.

The PLENA family is committed to plug-and-play throughout its range of public address products, including the loudspeakers, microphones and accessories. These products are packed with innovative features for improving performance - yet remain simple to install and operate.
