High Visibility Jackets / Vests
If only the driver could have seen the unintended pedestrian.
If only?
Former Scotland Yard Fraud Squad detective Tom Craig was left
asking many questions after he lost his close friend on a dark
Autumn night in 2002.
The victim had survived his car skidding off the road, only to be
knocked down when he scrambled back onto the unlit road. He was
killed instantly. The driver told police he could not see the
pedestrian.
Tom's friend had become another shocking statistic...one of 3,409
people killed each year on British roads.
Tom knew that to be safe, you had to be seen. He wanted to help
prevent such needless deaths.
How?
After much analysis and investigation, Tom and his team of experts
have produced a strategy and emergency high visibility fluorescent
jackets, called ICU-UCMeT. It has been extensively road tested and
meets all the requirements of BS EN471:1994 standards. The initiative
and product has the full support of 3M ScotchliteT.
When you and your passengers have evacuated the car. Remember wear your ICU-UCMeT garment.
