Lone Worker Monitoring
Employers are responsible for ensuring the safety of their staff at all times. Westminster can offer a worker safety programme that is simple and inexpensive yet gives you and your staff valuable peace of mind.
More and more employees today are required to operate in a 'lone worker' environment for either part or all of their working day and may be exposed to numerous hazards to their safety and wellbeing - Accidents, Attack, Medical Problems, Injury, Fire, Flood etc.
The answer is a Guardian!
The Westminster Guardian is a new UHF lone worker monitoring solution capable of providing automatic signalling of a lone worker in distress or in a 'man down' situation.
Transmitters
The Guardian lone worker transmitter unit is supplied complete with desk top charger; power supply and belt carry case. Using a minimal configuration, the unit can be used with a number of different receivers from single matched pager that will alert a colleague of an alarm situation to multi-channel fixed mount receivers and repeaters for large site monitoring of any number of transmitters
Multiple signalling options on the unit offer the user four discrete functions:
- Top side button: sends an "ASSIST" lone worker message
- Bottom side button: sends an "CANCEL" lone worker message
- Both side buttons: sends an "ALARM" lone worker message
- Lanyard removal: sends an "DURESS" lone worker message
Nominal range (subject to topography): 1Km.
Typical battery life between charges: 1 week
Modes of operation:
The Guardian lone worker transmitter has 3 manual call types, and 2 automatic alarms. The first automatic function consist of a captive pin that when withdrawn sends a "DURESS" lone worker message to the pager(s). The second automatic function will send a "DURESS" lone worker message when the wearer's movement has ceased for more than 20 seconds. Whilst the manual button initiated alarms are always active, both the captive pin and the movement detector functions can be enabled or disabled.
The LCD display will indicate which mode is active at any time. The mode can be changed by using the increment, decrement programming keys on the top of the transmitter. The keys must be pressed and held for a number of seconds between each change, this is to prevent accidentally changing the active mode.
