The airlock style of turnstile is designed for a higher level of security than the standard turnstile. The turnstile can be either installed internally or in an external location.
The turnstile only permits access or egress for one individual at a time. The rotor has a secure holding position that prevents final passage through the turnstile until verification has been approved from the access control system.
The user has the option of leaving the holding area prior to verification by the access control system in the same direction as entered by simply activating a push button which in turn will trigger the turnstile to unlock allowing the person to exit in the same direction as entered with out the need for approval from the access control system as this is not required as the user has not entered or left the secure/insecure turnstile holding position dependant on which direction entered.
For maximum security level the turnstile operation is best suited to a bio-metric reader system but will operate on most standalone or PC based access control systems.
- Entry & exit control push switches including status light indication mounted on either side of the turnstile to indicate when to proceed following authorisation from the access control system;
- Only one reader is required for bi-directional operation. (Stand Alone or PC Based Systems);
- 12 volt DC integral 5amp power supply unit;
- Additional access control readers can be mounted on either side of the turnstile to bi-pass the holding position for speed of passage for selected authorised personnel;
- Adjustable relock time out;
- 120º straight bar rotor fail unlocked or fail locked in the event of a power failure;
