The Westminster RB880CR Defender High Security Road Blocker (HSRB) provides a high level of security against unauthorised vehicle access. Designed to withstand substantial direct impact forces whilst avoiding the need for deep foundations, the Blocker protects sites with shallow underground services from aggressive vehicle attack.

With foundation depths from only 300mm deep the RB880CR is ideal for use where the installation of conventional road blocker/bollard foundations would interfere with existing underground services. The RB880CR Defender High Security Road Blocker is available in 2m widths; the blocking segment has a raise height of 1000mm to ensure that vehicle penetration during attack is kept well within the DoS/British minimum standard requirement for both US and European manufactured vehicles. The heavy-duty top plate is provided with removable access covers to enable safe access to the control mechanisms for efficient installation/servicing.

The road blocker top plate is located within a steel base section, which in turn is linked to support beams, which run either side of the base section for added structural stability. A secure access chamber is provided at the front of the unit to route the interconnecting control cables and hydraulic hoses between the road blocker and its Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU).

The blocker is operated by hydraulic actuators/s each with a 20 tonne mechanical lifting weight as well as anti-burst valves to protect against hose sabotage (may be omitted if required). The Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) contains the hydraulic and electronic control equipment housed in an externally rated cabinet to be positioned locally or remotely to the blocker unit. On installation the entire blocker enclosure is encased in concrete in accordance with our specific installation instructions.
