Glass Containment Film and Anchoring Introduction
As leading specialists in the advancement and installation of safety film, security film and solar window films, we have a range of Anchoring Solutions to provide you with enhanced protection whatever your glazed environment.
The Anchoring Solutions range provides increased security, safety and protection for overhead or vertical glazing, whether within a bolted or framed
system.
Although specified as five times stronger than ordinary annealed glass and considered to be safer, toughened glass can break unpredictably, falling dangerously from its frame.
Anchoring provides
- A significant reduction in the threat to safety from spontaneous glass fracture;
- A means by which any fractured glass is held securely in place and prevented from falling out of its framed or bolted system;
- Safe containment until such time as replacement glazing, filming and anchoring can be undertaken;
- A vital solution especially for overhead glazed roofing where protection may be vital to public safety.
Enhanced Security and Protection for Doors & Windows
We can offer you Enhanced Security for your glazing:
- Patented anchorage system for maximum glazed security;
- Existing glazing easily upgraded;
- Proven protection night and day;
- Cost-effective retro-fit system for immediate protection;
- Safeguards assets and limits liability;
- Reduces costly clear up time, ensuring loss of business is kept to a minimum.
Protection - even within a high-velocity bomb blast attack. Even if not considered a target, powerful shock waves from this type of attack emanate in all directions, affecting the weakest part of a building structure - the glazing
- 90% of all bomb-related injuries are caused by flying shards of glass. Anchoring is therefore essential and indeed a life-saver;
- Multi-ply glass containment window film and anchoring, designed to absorb shock-waves, will retain the disintegrated glass within the film and frame;
- Proven conclusively to provide a substantial degree of blast resistance and reduce glass fragment hazards at significant blast levels
If your glazing is already filmed, why not upgrade with anchoring?
Upgrade with anchoring for use with non-shattering materials such as a daylight window film application on annealed or toughened glass or with laminated safety glass
- A film bonding system comprising of an angled plastic extrusion with one face adhered to the window film and the second face adhered to the window frame to form an anchor;
- No need to touch or remove existing film;
- Flexible profile fitted to meet individual requirements;
- A competitive and practical solution.
Encompassing the Door Enhanced Security System
Significantly reduces loss through forced entry, particularly consequential loss through internal damage and stock loss.
Adaptable for vertical or overhead glazing to reduce the effects of nickel sulphide inclusion risk; where glass failure can result in injury especially in overhead glazing situations.
Utilising clear film, the system allows for optimum visibility with peace of mind and protection.
Bomb Blast/Security Film
Standard window glazing offers no protection from injury caused by flying pieces of broken glass. Security film significantly reduces the hazards of flying glass, holding it safely within the film.
Solar Control Film
Glass is used architecturally to create a light and airy environment, but will transmit over 90% of the heat directly into buildings in the summer. The most practical and effective form of control, reducing solar heat gain and glare, especially noticeable on VDU screens, is solar control window film.
Privacy Film
A cost-effective solution to replacing glazing, where privacy is required yet natural daylight needs to be maintained. Also perfectly used with internal glazed partitions where open plan offices also require some form of privacy.
True-Vision Film
Ensures no visual distortion and reduces the risk of Ultra Violet Rays from the sun, particularly effective in display windows where goods may be damaged by exposure to UV rays.
Manifestation Film
In order to comply with Building Regulations, where large areas of glazing must be instantly recognisable as a barrier, or as another form of company branding, Manifestation film can be adapted to incorporate the simplest of designs to the most complicated of logos, whilst ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and the use of glass.
Polycarbonate Film
Increases existing mechanical properties of polycarbonate materials and is also extremely effective for use on polycarbonate glazing in conservatories preventing uncomfortable solar heat gain in the summer and excessive heat loss during the winter.
Regulation 14 Films
To comply with legal requirements, where all glass in 'critical locations' must be made impact safe whether areas of internal or external walls, doors or partitioning.
Combined Films
Also available is our range of solar security combined films offering increased protection, not only from the sun's heat and glare, but also from injury from broken or flying glass by holding disintegrated pieces of glass in place.
Crime Shield Security System
A 2mm thick galvanised steel sheet with a matrix of perforations within its own frame, which at a distance merely gives the impression of a tint, but at close quarters is a visible deterrent. Unobtrusive protection preventing access to windows, significantly reducing potential forced entry and particularly appropriate for industrial type properties or anywhere intruders may have concealed and uninterrupted access to external windows.
