The WTs18 is a Continuous Wave Eighteen Zone Metal Detector; the vertical zones monitor the left, centre and right side of a person while the horizontal zones determine the height at which a weapon or protected asset is carried.

As a weapon or contraband object is transported through a zone, the zone's receiver channels and sophisticated mapping software compute its position within the archway.
