Bomb Blast Window Film
The threat of terrorist attack is a very real possibility in any society today and even if not considered the target, powerful shock waves from a bomb blast can emanate in all directions affecting the weakest part of nearby buildings - the glazing! 90% of all bomb related injuries are caused by shards of flying glass. Westminster can supply and fit multi-ply containment security film to new and existing windows. It is designed to absorb shock waves from significant blast levels and retain the disintegrated glass within the film and frame.

With a specialised anchoring system the film, which can be clear transparent, mirrored or solar reflective (to reduce glare and solar heat gain), can also be used to protect glazing against criminal entry. It also provides significant enhancements to building safety injury from accidental broken glass particularly from overhead glazing.
