WG IS X-Ray Scanners - Networking

WG IS Baggage Scanners are supplied Network Ready with the following options for connectivity:-

  • An auto-detecting internet ready Ethernet port;
  • A standard LAN-ready TCP/IP Protocol;
  • Multiple USB 2.0 ports ready for any conceivable type of wireless devices.

Networking

The system can be easily integrated to any pre-existing operational infrastructure and allow the operation of the machine to take place regardless the distance and location.

Operators and administrators have a choice in deciding how to best implement their connectivity without any compromise.

The networking capability of the systems is a necessary supplement to the Remote Operator Workstations, Supervisor Workstations and Suspect Search Stations and ensures a fast exchange of screening information between operators and administrators to reduce screening time while increasing threat scrutiny.

Remote Workstation

The WG IS Remote Operator Workstation is an integrated command and control console with extended cables and networking capabilities for remote operation of the scanner.

The remote configuration of the standard scanner system allows operators to screen objects regardless of distance and is ideal in situations where:-

  • The scanner system needs to be routed to a central control room or a local control point;
  • The environment where the scanner system is situated may be too distracting or inhospitable for operators to carry out proper screening procedures;
  • Operator may have special needs and require a detached Operator Control Panel.

The remote operator workstation features all image manipulation options, adjustable zoom levels, varying penetration power, and the capability to support all additional software options (i.e. Threat Image Projection) on the scanner systems.

The workstation may be connected via specialised minimal error extension cable or an active Ethernet connection for virtually unlimited operational distance.

The Remote Workstation is compatible with the Supervisor Workstation and Suspect Search Station and offers the benefits of secondary image manipulation and conclusive threat identification while streamlining the flow of traffic at a checkpoint.

Multiple Remote Operator Workstations can be requested for a single scanner system so the system can be operated from multiple locations.

The Workstations may be further configured in order of “seniority” so that one location will have operational precedence over other Workstations.

Multiple workstations can be customised and configured to interface with existing infrastructure and on-site equipment to suit the needs of the end-user.

Remote Operator Station B

The Remote Operator Workstation includes the following components:-

  • Extension Cables (Length to be determined by requirement) with PC interface;
  • Advanced Operator Control Panel;
  • 17” High Resolution, Flicker-Free, Low Radiation LCD Monitor (Quantity dependent on model, (24” Optional).

Note: Excludes work table.

Suspect Search Station

The Suspect Search Station is an integrated workstation featuring the latest system PC and software revisions designed to address any potential threat objects that may pass through the initial screening process by serving as a secondary image analysis and manipulation station.

At the touch of a button, the operator of a scanner system can send a suspect image to a reviewer at the Suspect Search Station via an Ethernet or local area network connection.

The reviewer can then utilise the image manipulation tools and help the operator conclusively identify potential threat objects.

Operators can continue screening more objects while the reviewer conducts a detailed examination and manipulation of the suspect image.

In this configuration, the Search Station minimises the amount of time necessary to scan multiple objects without sacrificing any security.

The Search Station improves upon the efficiency of the scanner screening process by permitting operators to immediately escalate suspect images for upper level review.

Additionally, the workstation is fully customisable and can be easily integrated into existing security infrastructure alongside the scanner systems.

With an active Ethernet and/or network connection, the reviewer may examine images in relative safety from virtually anywhere on the planet.

Suspect Search Station

The Suspect Search Station features the following components:

  • Dual 17” High Resolution Flicker-free Low Radiation LCD Monitors (24” Optional);
  • Dell PC with the latest Software Revision and management tools;
  • Advanced Operator Control Panel with PC Interface;
  • Keyboard and mouse.

Note: Excludes work table.

Multiple Remote Operator Workstations can be requested for a single WG IS System so the system can be operated from multiple locations.

The Workstations may be further configured in order of “seniority” so that one location will have operational precedence over other Workstations.

Multiple workstations can be customised and configured to interface with existing infrastructure and on-site equipment to suit the needs of the end-user.

The Remote Operator Workstation includes the following components:-

  • Extension Cables (Length to be determined by requirement) with PC interface;
  • Advanced Operator Control Panel;
  • 17” High Resolution, Flicker-Free, Low Radiation LCD Monitor (Quantity dependent on model, (24” Optional).

Note: Excludes work table.

Supervisor Workstation

The WG IS Supervisor Workstation is an integrated workstation featuring the latest PC and software revisions designed for Administrators and supervisors to monitor the screening process of multiple scanner systems.

When the workstation is properly configured and connected to a local connection, administrators can monitor the activities of all Remote and Suspect Workstations to ensure operators stay focused and alert.

By displaying the desktops of all networked operators on the Supervisor Workstation Monitor, administrators can view exactly how each operator screen and manipulate scanned images and intervene if necessary.

The workstation also permits Administrators to access all linked scanner systems remotely to revise the accessibility of operators, add / remove operators, set passwords, and schedule shift schedules.

With all the administrative and monitoring tools available, Administrators can easily see an overall improvement in the efficiency of the screening process and a reduction in the time spent analysing scanned objects.

Supervisor Workstation b

The Supervisor Workstation features the following components:

  • Dual 17” High Resolution Flicker-free Low Radiation LCD Monitors (24” Optional);
  • Dell PC with Administrative Management and Remote Monitoring tools;
  • Keyboard and mouse.

Note: Excludes work table.
