Rated to IP68 the electronics and camera package is water resistant and can be located on virtually any terrain prone to flooding. The simple plug & play set up procedure means the system can be installed on site and working in a matter of minutes in a portable format or permanently bolted to the road surface in less than an hour.
Specific attention has been given to the cable and wiring looms, the UVSS to DVR cable link is engineered from multi core coaxial cable individually shielded in PVC and steel flexible conduit capable of standing up to constant vehicle traffic without any fuss or impact on the integrity of the cables.
Each cable loom is 10m long as standard, allowing plenty of flexibility in the location of the UVSS in relation to the control point. The cable can be tailored to meet customer requirements if longer or shorter lengths are required.
No compromise has been made in the build quality of the system, its rugged design means virtually no maintenance is required and training is minimal and fully covered in the user information provided with the system.
The UVSS comes supplied with a 6 camera configuration designed specifically to handle both standard sized vehicles and also larger HGV/Tractor vehicles. The ideal UVSS system where vehicle undersides need to me checked and monitored whilst being able to keep the traffic flowing.

It is a class leading high definition digital video recorder providing up to 1 month of recording time on its integral 1TB hard drive, in conjunction with the LED Monitor the UVSS provides the operator with the latest in TVI image quality.
The DVR is a commercial 8 channel Penta-Tech DVR that combines 5 video technology formats. Especially selected for use with the UVSS the DVR will support up to HD 1080p TVI image quality. The BNC inputs support all the major formats such as HDCVI, HDTVI, AHD and CVBS (Analogue). Four additional IP Cameras can also be added to the system to make a total of 12 channels.
The DVR has Smart H.264E (Enhanced) Compression, It comes in a 1.5U rack mount case with 4 internal SATA ports, 8 Alarm Inputs and 6 Alarm Outputs (Relays). It supports up to 9 channel playback with backup methods including USB, eSATA, Internal SATA Burner and network

Selectable Optimised Brightness with Auto EcoView
The Auto EcoView function is a sensor on the front of the monitor that measures ambient light and optimizes the screen’s brightness so the monitor remains at optimum brightness in all light conditions whilst reducing power consumption at the same time. This is a turn on/ turn off feature selected via a button on the front off the monitor.
Quick and Easy Installation
This system is designed for quick and easy installation.
The unit arrives crated with top covers in place, if you are planning on a temporary siting of the UVSS for low traffic volumes at low speeds the unit can be simply placed in the location you wish, if you are planning a more permanent or semi-permanent siting, to start the installation procedure simply remove the top covers with an allen key and place the UVSS structure in the position required.
Inside the UVSS you will see two pre-holed channels running down each side of the system.
Depending on the type of surface to intend to fix the system to you select the appropriate bolting method and using the holes in the UVSS channel locate the system by bolting it to the surface of the road.
Once this is done you can replace the outer covers and connect the DVR to the monitor and power supply, followed by connecting the individual camera coax’s to the numbered ports on the back of the DVR.
